Holiday lets and self-catering accommodation in Leek
Leek’s cobbled market place, shops, Wednesday market and fine buildings make it a pleasant town to explore. As the main town for the Staffordshire Moorlands it has all the facilities one would expect and is a good base for discovering the south west corner of the Peak District. Famous for its former silk weaving and connections to William Morris of the Arts & Crafts movement. There are lots of good walks near Leek - take a walk along the River Churnet to see the Cheddleton Flint Mill, where flint was ground for use in the Potteries. Just north of Leek are the Roaches and Hen Cloud, impressive gritstone outcrops beloved of climbers and walkers. This is a really popular part of Derbyshire.
