Self catering accommodation and holiday cottages to rent in Rowsley

Found along with the River Derwent along with other pretty villages like Calver, enjoy excellent walks extend from the village of Rowsley up the hillsides to the moors of Stanton and Fallinge and the village of Stanton in Peak, plus the Derwent Valley Heritage Way. The village developed with the coming of the railway (long since closed down) and a pretty little station building here, designed by Joseph Paxton, is now part of a shopping complex known as Peak Shopping Village. Both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are close by (within a mile) and there is also a lovely water-powered Victorian flour mill here (Caudwells Mill) with adjacent craft shops and a café situated on the River Wye. The towns of Matlock and Bakewell are close by making this a popular spot to stay and explore the whole of Derbyshire from.
