Cressbrook is a small village that centres around an old textile mill located on the banks of the River Wye. The mill was ran by Richard Arkwright one of the heroes of the Industrial Revolution. The Monsal Trail runs through the centre of the village which is a popular tourist walking and cycling route in Derbyshire. The town of Cressbrook in Queensland, Australia is named after the village too.
