Middleton-by-Wirksworth in Derbyshire is a village popular with cavers for the large number of tunnels accessible that were once part of the lead mills. Many come to explore this area for its adventurous terrain and beautiful scenery. The High Peak Trail passes through the village which is popular with walkers and cyclists alike. There are a few Middleton-by-Wirksworth pubs to visit during your stay where you can sample local ales and traditional dishes, The Nelson Arms and The Rising Sun to name a couple.
