Millers Dale in now a peaceful, rural location which is a complete haven for walkers. Once there was a busy train station here with links to London and Manchester but today all that remains is the old station buildings and huge viaducts. Today these carry a popular route for walkers and cyclists, the Monsal Trail which runs 8.5 miles through the spectacular limestone dales from Blackwell Mill, in Chee Dale and Coombs Road, at Bakewell. Not far from the village, The Anglers Rest overlooks the River Wye and offers a peaceful location for refuelling after a day of exploring. Choose one of our Millers Dale cottages and make the most of the beautiful Peak District location.
