Holiday lets and self-caterinf accommodation in Winster

A very interesting and attractive old village hidden up in the hills between Bakewell and Matlock, close to Birchover, Winster village upholds some ancient traditions including pancake races on Shrove Tuesday and groups of Morris dancers perform at various local events. There are also annual well dressings, a carnival and open garden days which are great to get involved with and learn about the culture in the Peak District. A two fine old inns, The Bowling Green, and the Miners Standard, at the heart of the village. The Limestone Way footpath passes close by and there are many good routes through glorious scenery for ramblers.

This is a lovely part of Derbyshire to stay in when on holiday and we have some lovely self-catering cottages which can act as the perfect base for all your explorations. Browse the collection today and plan a holiday of a lifetime.
